What is breathwork?
Breathwork simply refers to the practice of conscious breathing
-- that is, consciously controlling your breathing patterns.
It is common in certain
meditative and Yogic practices.
Breathwork can bring many wonderful benefits, such as increased mental acuity, health improvements, greater energy levels, spiritual breakthroughs – and more.
Our breathwork sessions are derived from the Yoga practice of Pranayama, a Sanskrit term meaning “lengthening the breath.”
Most people never realize the profound benefits that breathwork can bring – just by changing how you breathe
for a few minutes each day!
Is breathwork safe?
The guided breathwork techniques we share are completely safe.
They are invigorating, powerful and thoroughly enjoyable!
Please note however: If you have a respiratory condition or are prone to hyperventilating, then we advise that you seek medical advice before starting the course.
Is this the same as Holotropic
breathwork?
No.
The Power of Breathing contains three levels, each designed
to bring you the most powerful life benefits – in an
absolutely safe environment.
Sub-variants of breathwork including Holotropic Breathwork
(tm)
and rebirthing breathwork, which involve very rapid
breathing in order to achieve alternate states of awareness.
We do not endorse these potentially unsafe alternatives.
Is breathwork a
religious thing?
No.
Breathwork is not a religious practice. Breathwork is
well-recognized by health professionals as bringing many
life-enhancing benefits to those that practice it. It is based
on scientific principles, rather than any specific religion.
Breathwork is utilized within Yoga and other meditative
practices, and many people report positive, spiritual
breakthroughs when following a breathwork routine. However these
are merely positive side-benefits to breathwork, and the product
is not affiliated with any religion whatsoever.
What will I find on the Audio Program? Are these guided sessions?
The Power of Breathing Audio Progra contains a 20-minute introduction to breathwork, and three individual breathwork sessions.
Each of the breakwork sessions is guided, meaning that you will be instructed when to breathe in and out. The audio sessions are progressive – so that you start with Level 1, and over time progress to Level 3.
Level 1 lasts 8 minutes, Level 2 lasts 10 minutes, and Level 3 lasts 15 minutes. Each progressive level uses more advanced breathing patterns.
